Terms of Service

Last updated 12 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and SinDev d.o.o., Braće Ružić 8, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia, registered at the Commercial Court in Rijeka, MBS 040477694, OIB 69667739758 ("we", "us"), the company that runs Pocket. They cover the Pocket website, the Pocket web app, and the Pocket apps for iPhone and Android. By creating an account you accept them. Each section opens with a short plain summary to help you read; the full text is what binds us both. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

The short version

  • Pocket shows you your money and helps you plan it. It cannot move money and gives no financial advice.
  • Bank connections are read only and run through a licensed partner. You approve them at your bank.
  • You can try Pocket free for 7 days without a card. Nothing is charged unless you subscribe.
  • Pocket Plus is €8.99 a month or €59.99 a year, including VAT, the same price everywhere.
  • Cancel any time. You keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Web purchases are refunded in full if you ask within 30 days.
  • Your data stays yours. Delete your account whenever you like.
  • If we ever close Pocket, you get at least 60 days' notice and your data to take with you.

1. Who you are dealing with

SinDev d.o.o. is a limited company in Croatia. Address: Braće Ružić 8, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia. Court register: Commercial Court in Rijeka, MBS 040477694. OIB: 69667739758. Email: hello@joinpocket.app. A real person reads every message. If something goes wrong, email us; we acknowledge complaints without delay and answer within 15 days.

2. Who can use Pocket

In short: Adults, with a bank Pocket can connect to.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Pocket currently connects to banks in Ireland; we say on the website which banks are supported. You may use Pocket from anywhere in the EU, but we cannot promise it will connect to banks outside the supported list.

3. What Pocket is, and what it is not

In short: A clear view and a plan. Not a bank, not an adviser, not a lender.

Pocket reads your bank accounts, categorises your transactions, lets you set money aside in pockets and budgets, tracks the debts you enter, forecasts your balance, and lets you share a household with one other person.

  • Pocket is not a bank or a payment service provider. It cannot move money, make payments, or change anything at your bank.
  • Pocket does not give financial, investment, tax, legal or debt advice. Forecasts, categories, totals and "what if" figures are calculations based on your own data. They can be wrong, and they are not a recommendation. The decisions are yours.
  • The debt tools show the figures for choices you make, such as what happens if you pay more on a debt. They do not tell you which debt to pay or how much.
  • Pocket does not offer, compare or recommend loans, cards, insurance or investments, and we earn nothing from any financial product.

4. Bank connections

In short: Read only, approved at your bank, provided by Salt Edge and a licensed partner. Banks sometimes send data late or incomplete, so check your bank before you rely on a number.

Bank connections are provided by Salt Edge Limited and by a payment service provider authorised in the EU to provide account information services, which is named on the consent screen you see before you connect. You accept their terms when you connect. You authorise access on your bank's own page or app, and Pocket never sees your bank login. Pocket receives read only information and cannot move money.

Each connection lasts for a limited period set by your bank and by law. After that, Pocket asks you to reconnect. You can disconnect a bank in Pocket, or end the permission at your bank, at any time. Your bank decides what data it shares and when. Balances and transactions can be delayed, duplicated or incomplete, and a connection can fail for reasons outside our control. Check your bank before making a payment based on a Pocket figure. This does not limit your rights if Pocket itself is at fault.

Salt Edge and the licensed provider are independent of Pocket. They do not provide Pocket's own features and have not reviewed or endorsed them.

5. Your account

In short: One person, one account. Keep your login to yourself.

Your account is personal to you. Keep your password safe and do not share it. Tell us straight away at hello@joinpocket.app if you think someone else has used your account. Face ID and fingerprint lock run on your phone; we never receive biometric data. You are responsible for what happens in your account until you tell us about a problem.

6. Households

In short: Two people, one shared picture. Both see everything except what you mark private. Either of you can leave at any time.

A household has at most two members. Both members see all accounts connected to the household, all transactions, pockets, budgets, debts and recaps, including payee names and notes, except the single transactions and pockets a member marks private. Accounts cannot be hidden. Only connect an account to a shared household if you are entitled to share its data, including any joint account.

When you invite someone, you are responsible for choosing someone you trust with this view of your finances. When you join someone's household, your existing data merges into it. Either member can leave from Settings at any time: the leaver takes their own bank connections, cash wallets and private pockets into a new household, and loses access to the other member's data immediately. One subscription covers both members; if the subscribing member's account is deleted, the other member's Pocket Plus ends with it.

7. Free trial and Pocket Plus

In short: 7 days free, no card, nothing charged. After that Pocket is read only until you subscribe. Plus costs €8.99 a month or €59.99 a year.

  • Every new account gets Pocket Plus free for 7 days. No card is needed, nothing is charged, and the trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself.
  • When the trial ends without a subscription, Pocket becomes read only: you can still see everything, export your reports, disconnect banks, leave a household and delete your account, but you cannot add or change things and your banks stop syncing until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted.
  • Pocket Plus costs €8.99 a month or €59.99 a year, including VAT at the rate of the country you live in. The price is the same whether you buy in the iPhone app, the Android app or on the web, and it is shown before you pay. Each month or year, the plan renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel before the period ends.
  • We send you an email before a yearly plan renews. If we ever change the price, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
  • From time to time we may grant free Plus time, for example to make up for a bank sync outage. A grant is a gift, has no cash value, and does not change these terms.

8. Paying through the web, the App Store or Google Play

In short: Who you paid is who bills you and who refunds you. Your rights against us stay the same either way.

  • On the web, payment is handled by Stripe through Link. Manage or cancel your plan at https://dashboard.joinpocket.app under Settings, Membership. Refunds for web purchases come from us: see section 9.
  • In the iPhone app, Apple bills you through your Apple account. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Refunds for App Store purchases are decided and paid by Apple under Apple's rules, through reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • In the Android app, Google bills you through your Google account. Manage or cancel it in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. Refunds for Google Play purchases are decided and paid by Google under Google's rules.
  • A subscription bought on any one of these works on all of them: sign in and your plan is there. Use Restore purchases in the app if it does not appear.
  • If a store declines a refund you asked for within 30 days of buying and you believe you were entitled to one, email us and we will put it right, for example with Plus time.
  • Where the store billed you, the store's refund rules apply to the payment itself. Your legal rights against us as the provider of Pocket are not reduced by this.

9. Cancelling and refunds

In short: Cancel any time and keep access to the end of the period. Web purchases: full refund if you ask within 30 days of paying. By law you also have 14 days to change your mind after any payment.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, in Settings, Membership on the web, or in your phone's subscription settings for store purchases. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep Pocket Plus until then. If you cancel on the web, you get a confirmation email with the date and time.

Our 30 day promise for web purchases. If you bought Pocket Plus on the web and ask within 30 days of the payment, we refund that payment in full, no questions asked. Email hello@joinpocket.app from the address on your account. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of your request.

Your legal right to cancel within 14 days. Separately from our promise, EU consumer law gives you the right to cancel a subscription contract within 14 days of the day you first pay for it, without giving a reason. Because Pocket Plus starts working for you immediately, you ask us to begin before the 14 days are over when you subscribe. If you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay only for the days you had Plus, in proportion to the price, and we refund the rest. To use this right, tell us by email at hello@joinpocket.app or by using the model form at the end of these terms. For store purchases, Apple or Google refund you under the same rules, and we help if they do not.

Refunds for yearly plans. If we end your subscription or close Pocket, we refund the unused part of a yearly plan in proportion.

10. Changes to Pocket

In short: We improve Pocket all the time. If a change makes it worse for you, you get 30 days' notice and can leave with a refund of unused time.

We may change Pocket's features to keep it secure, to comply with the law or with our bank partners' requirements, to fix problems, or to improve it. Changes cost you nothing extra. If a change would reduce what Pocket does for you in more than a minor way, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can end your subscription free of charge within 30 days of the change, with a refund of any unused time. Features we mark as beta or early access may change or disappear at shorter notice; we tell you when a feature is in beta.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Pocket, the law or our partners change. We tell you by email at least 30 days before changes that affect you take effect, in a message devoted to the change. If you do not agree, you can end your subscription free of charge before the change applies and we refund any unused time. Continuing to use Pocket after the date means you accept the new terms. The date at the top and the history at the end of this page show every version.

12. Your data and your content

In short: Your data stays yours. We use it only to run Pocket for you.

Everything you connect, enter or upload stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide Pocket to you and your household, as our Privacy Policy describes. We claim no other rights to it, we never sell it, and we never share your financial data for anyone's advertising. You can export your reports at any time, and you can delete items or your whole account whenever you like. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Pocket without owing you anything.

Pocket and its software, design and text belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non transferable licence to use the apps and the service for your own household finances.

13. Using Pocket fairly

Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer Pocket; do not access anyone else's data; do not connect accounts you are not entitled to; do not use Pocket for anything unlawful or to harm anyone. We may suspend or end accounts that do, as section 15 describes.

14. Our responsibility to you

In short: We are responsible when Pocket is faulty or we are careless. We are not responsible for decisions you make on figures that come from your bank, for losses nobody could foresee, or for business losses. Where we may limit our responsibility, it is capped at €100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it: for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for our failure to provide Pocket with the care and skill and in the way we describe, or for any other liability that consumer law says we cannot limit. If Pocket does not work as it should, you have the remedies the law gives you, including repair, price reduction and ending the contract.

Beyond that, we are liable to you for loss that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by your bank or by data your bank sent late or wrong, for decisions you make based on Pocket's figures, or for any business loss, since Pocket is for personal use. Where we are allowed to limit our liability, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12 month period is limited to €100 or the amount you paid us in those 12 months, whichever is higher.

15. Ending or suspending your account

In short: You can leave any time. We only close accounts for serious reasons, and we tell you first unless the law stops us.

You can stop using Pocket and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must by law, or if your use puts Pocket or other users at risk. Except where the law requires us to act immediately, we tell you by email first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close your account for reasons that are not your fault, we refund any unused subscription time and give you 30 days to export your data first.

16. If we ever close Pocket

In short: At least 60 days' notice, your data ready to take, then deletion.

If we ever decide to shut Pocket down, we tell you by email at least 60 days in advance, keep Pocket running so you can export your data during that time, refund the unused part of any subscription, and then delete all data. If Pocket is taken over by another company, we tell you before it happens and you can delete your account first.

17. If you downloaded Pocket from the App Store

In short: These are the terms Apple requires us to state. In one line: Pocket is ours, not Apple's, and Apple is not responsible for it.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the iPhone app. If anything in these terms conflicts with it, the following applies as well:

  • These terms are between you and SinDev d.o.o. only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Your licence to the app is limited to Apple devices you own or control, within the usage rules in Apple's Media Services Terms, and it is not transferable.
  • We alone are responsible for maintaining and supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for it.
  • We alone are responsible for any warranty. If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you; Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claim is our responsibility.
  • We, not Apple, handle any claim relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States government embargo or designated as a terrorist supporting country, and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with any third party terms that apply when using the app, such as your mobile carrier's terms.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms for the iPhone app and may enforce them against you.
  • Our contact details are in section 1.

18. If you downloaded Pocket from Google Play

Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app. Purchases made through Google Play are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, and Google handles the payment and any refund for those purchases under its rules, as section 8 describes.

19. Law, disputes and complaints

In short: Croatian law applies, but you keep every protection of your own country, and you can go to your own courts.

These terms are governed by the law of Croatia. If you live in another country, you keep all the protections that the mandatory consumer law of your country gives you, and nothing here takes them away. You may bring a claim against us in the courts of the country where you live or in Croatia. We may bring a claim against you only in the courts of the country where you live.

If you have a complaint, email hello@joinpocket.app or write to the address in section 1. We acknowledge it without delay and answer within 15 days. We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme and are not obliged to use one, so if we cannot resolve a complaint together you can go to court. If you live in Ireland, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie) and, for cross border disputes, the European Consumer Centre Ireland (eccireland.ie) can advise you.

20. Other terms

  • We may transfer this agreement to another company only if it takes over all our obligations to you. We tell you first and you can end your subscription free of charge if you prefer, with a refund of unused time.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a bank's or an internet provider's outage. This does not cover problems within our own control.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • These terms, the Privacy Policy and the information we gave you before you subscribed form the whole agreement between us. Nothing here excludes what we told you in our advertising or on our website.
  • We communicate with you by email to the address on your account and by notices in the app. Keep your email address up to date.
  • We email a receipt for every payment, or the store that billed you does, in line with the law that applies to us.
